Chevron parquetry is known for its ‘V’ shape pattern, also known as Hungarian point which dates back to the Renaissance period. It consists of wood planks that are cut at a 45-degree angle and positioned in a distinctive pattern. This must be aligned for a perfectly straight axis; parquetry requires specialised skills for installation. With its repeated geometrical pattern, this style has been featured in many European palaces and chateaux.
